It wasn't until I looked them up that I found out they are also part of the earworm that is the JC Penney's commercial. (Seriously, what was with me and commercials this year? First Yael Naim (that was this year, right?), then Chairlift, now this. And just this afternoon I caught a cute little French song for some perfume or another--sounded like something from the 50s or 60s. Either commercials are getting more clever with their song choices, or I am growing less choosy.)
Gotta Have You - The Weepies
Update: Aha! (Now this makes me want to go hunt down some Carla Bruni!)
Moi je joue - Brigitte Bardot
Okay, here we go. (I have a weakness for French songs, good or bad, thanks to my parents. This is pretty decent, though. She doesn't sing as much as she singsongs, but when you look like that and are doing so in low pitched French, who cares (I mean, has the name Raphael ever sounded so enticing)?! I do like the abrupt ending for the second song, too. )
