All I ever needed

There was a quote from an overrated movie that we used to throw around here quite often, years ago, especially when we were at almost the end of our rope with work overload, and a break of a week (or two! Oh, happy years!) was almost in sight"[...]What's vacation? It's when you go away somewhere...and never come back."

Fast forward to now and I think it's safe to say that the last couple years have pretty much established that, in the house of F.R.O.G, vacation is when "you don't go anywhere and everyone (except YOU, because lucky you get to play nurse!) gets sick for the whole time and recovers just in time...for you to go back to work."

I'm not complaining, though, really and truly. I've become one of those annoying people who [not always, but more than before] see the silver lining in pile of crap (even if the silver lining is actually just crap of a lighter color).

Besides which, the main point is everyone got better. Getting better are two words that I will never take lightly again.

I could go with all the obvious choices, especially given the song title, but just because I am [trying to be] a tad more optimistic doesn't mean I'm going to be predictable, too. At least, not if I can help it.

I can't really post a song by Evan Johns and not give a nod to his inspiration and possibly one of the best (unsung) guitar heros, Danny Gatton. Here's a favorite interpretation of his, followed by a live session--amazing technique. Shame that his demons got the best of him.

Like I said, getting better is way underrated and underappreciated.
