So, for the next five nights, I'm bringing you the top kid choice of the day, completely unfiltered. Listen at your own risk.

Conversation in car on the way to my parents, this afternoon:
Kid: "Daddy? Can I have The Doors music?"
L (with side glance at me): "Do you mean the music from the album by The Doors?"
Kid: "Yes."
L. connects phone to stereo, flips through a few screens, and Jim Morrison is singing 'Hello, I Love You' through the speakers.
Kid: "No, Daddy, not this one, the other one. The other Doors."
L. (fast forwarding):"This?" (Negative from kid) "This one?" (Again with the no from the kid). "Is this it?"
Kid: "That's it. That's the sound of The Doors."
Here it is, the "sound of The Doors". 100% kid approved. He's either really digging the melody, or he's revving up to be a pyromaniac. (Yes, I know what fire refers to, here, but he doesn't. He's three and a half, remember?)
Light My Fire - The Doors
*The side glance was one of pure victory. L. is definitely the one who introduced the kid to The Doors, and he knew it would bug me that the kid would voluntarily ask for one of his groups versus one of mine, like I don't know, Queen. I think I need to up my game, there.
